Almost as important as choosing a destination is the right timing. In which month are the most interesting regions? Here you will find tips to be around 2017 to be at the right place at the right time.When is the best time to travel? Every year, the question arises again – and the answer: It all depends on what you want. Do you want to lie on the beach or go down steep slopes? Do you want to climb to deserted mountains or cross the desert? Nature or culture? Heat or snow?

Maybe you know exactly when you are traveling – just do not know where to go. We have put together a few tips for each month. In this way you will find your personal best travel time all year round.

January: Island hopping in New Zealand

Fancy winter sports? Then off to the slopes! Snowboarders and skiers find the best conditions in the Alps from January to March.

Or are you fed up with the European winter? Fortunately, at the other end of the world is now summer – for example in New Zealand. Fjords, glaciers and rainforests, volcanoes, geysers, vineyards and palm groves – the two islands offer a variety of landscapes like hardly any other country. Enjoy the relaxed lifestyle of the “Kiwis” and explore the wonders of nature with pleasant temperatures around 25 degrees.

Not warm enough? Then Jamaica would be a good alternative. There it is relatively dry in January at temperatures around 30 degrees and above all “storm-free”. The perfect time for nature lovers and bathers. On 15 and 16 January the cultural festival “Rebel Salute” is a cultural highlight – a must for all Reggaefans.

February: Celebrating in Rio

February is the symbol of carnival among many rice lovers. Rosenmontag is 2016 on February 8th. Those who do not want to enjoy themselves in the German high castles of Cologne and Düsseldorf can also celebrate Carnival in distant countries. In addition to the classic Rio de Janeiro in Brazil, for example, the Seychelles from 22 to 24 April lure you into a crazy activity – at temperatures between 25 and 30 degrees.

Sicily is also in full glory in March: blossoming almond trees, lush lemon and orange groves. In addition to colorful markets and a lot of culture – visit the bustling Palermo, admire the temples of Agrigento and enjoy the Sicilian cuisine in addition to the rich culture.

Tip: Holidays at Easter are traditionally expensive. If you do not like the hustle and bustle, you will be disappearing at the beginning of the month. Except in Hamburg, the Easter holidays in the federal states do not begin before 18 March.

April: Metropolis on two continents

The weather in April is usually very changeable in Europe: times the sun shines, then it rains days again. Now is the perfect time for city trips to Lisbon, Paris or Istanbul.

Istanbul is the only metropolis in the world on two continents – Europe and Asia. The city with its mild and humid sea climate invites you to stroll and shop at a pleasant 17 degrees. Flower lovers come in April for the two-week “Tulip Festival”, in which millions of tulips blossom.

Marrakech is also worthwhile in April: colorful souks and magnificent palaces – the wondrous world of the Orient will fascinate you. By the way, the Moroccan royal city is also accessible on numerous Mediterranean cruises from the ports of Casablanca and Agadir.

May: Blooming in London

Shortly before the summer holidays many organizers attract particularly favorable prices. The holiday oases are not yet overflowed and the temperatures in the southern European countries are not as high as in July and August.

Especially for active tourists who are looking for a holiday destination in Europe, May is the best time to travel. For example, South Tyrol and La Palma are popular holiday destinations for hikers.

If you are planning a city tour, you should not forget Prague. Above all, music lovers will get their money’s worth in the Czech capital in May, when classical music will be heard at different venues at the “Prague Spring Festival”.

Or rather London? At the annual garden show “Chelsea Flower Show”, the capital is in full bloom for five days at the Royal Hospital. And in Brighton, the largest festival in the country takes place in May: parades, music and theater in XXL format.

June, July, August: Summer with the whales

Bremen is the first state to start the summer holidays on 23 June. All of Germany is then a unique holiday paradise – from Sylt and Amrum to Chiemsee and Schwarzwald.

But it does not necessarily have to be home – how about Norway? The ideal time to travel to the Scandinavian country is in July, when the days are longest, brightest and warmest. Explore Oslo at an average of 22 degrees or plan your outdoor holiday in the surrounding area.

September: China in autumn

As a long-term destination in Asia, China is the destination. September is ideal for a round trip: pleasant temperatures, little rain and no tourist high season. The temperatures in Beijing are 25 degrees – ideal for the visit of the Great Wall or the Forbidden City. The “Tourism Festival” in Shanghai also offers numerous cultural events in the middle of September.

October: Halloween where it all started

Autumn is a good time to travel. There are many destinations all over the world that have their special appeal. For example, you can find an attractive photo collection in the metropolises of Vienna, Paris, Venice or Rome. Halloween and Thanksgiving are good opportunities to travel to the USA.

Or rather desert, sea and rocky city Petra? Jordan is considered a safe country of rice, which you can visit with an organizer.
